I buy lots of things from charity shops to help charities rather than go buy new because these shops do sell very good products because very generous people and families kindly donate all kinds of items for free, but I was really disappointed with the way the staff and delivery was handled a total lack of respect and communication after I kindly spent £150 on goods and £35 on delivery it's all for a good cause but when I'm told it will be delivered on a Wednesday between 12&4 I booked the day off work and waited and waited no phone call so I rang at last minute.Yes your delivery is on route time goes buy I ring again, Oh I think there having trouble with van I'll ring you back in 10 minutes. Hahaha half hour later no phone call so I decided to ring again and again and again. CLOSED AND NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL TO SAY WHATS HAPPENING TO MY GOODS OR MY £185 I SPENT NOT EVEN A CALL FROM DELIVERY DRIVER NOT 1 CALL. Total lack of communication left in the dark do the staff that work for the YMCA have communication skills in ways off contacting the buyer about their products I must admit when I have been in the shop all staff have been polite and helpful and welcoming and even have a laugh with you I luke to spend to help charities I bought a lovely recliner from RSPCA charity shop kept me updated with delivery and delivery men contacted me and they delivered on time on the day very pleased £10 delivery charge people and families give generously to help others but I've been listening to a very lot of people young and older saying how greed charity shops are becoming they forget they get it free and people that need help actually shop in these shops now its cheaper to go to poundland or other stores, charity shops are selling less now because of greed. So I will be calling into the shop for my £185 for not receiving my goods and wont be shopping in charity shops no more I'm very disappointed in their prices their not thinking of the people they help their thinking of the profit that's why there throwing more stuff away instead of selling the stuff they're given. Greedy world getting worse I want my goods or my money back and loss of earnings last time I shop there sorry to the people that need the help.
