The service was acceptable, if a little rushed. They did fit me in for an emergency appointment though. My gripe is that I paid by cash one time (4 years ago) and visited again after this time, always paying in full. Over 2 years later I was contacted to say I owed £54 for a treatment (the one I paid for in cash). I told them I paid. System says No apparently! Only way to prove it would be a receipt....I don't keep receipts that many years unfortunately. Contacted office by email to complain about this but received no response. I assumed they'd figured out the mess-up and corrected it. After another year I am contacted to say it's going to a debt collector if I don't pay...pay again, I should say. As I've no receipt I don't really have a choice! My advice....never pay by cash. If you do, keep your receipt safe for a few decades or you will be charged again and again and threatened with debt collectors. Weirdly I never got asked about this on my visits to the office...it was only years after I left the surgery. Not happy and will be reporting the irregularity. As a side note, I was also asked by the dental surgeon to pay privately as it would be slightly cheaper for me to do it that way. Seemed a little odd but I'm sure they have their reasons. Also reporting this to NHS.
