Recently I had a relative in the Dales, it was the most disgusting place I have ever seen. When we walked into her room the smell of Urine was very noticeable the floor was sticky, it hadn't been cleaned. She was suffering severe Mental Health, so she was feeling very anxious before she got there. The staff seemed ok once we left her there. The following times after she was just left alone in her room, no one checked on her and asked how she was, she didn't get assessed by a professional till days after, she was completely distressed and feeling worse than when she arrived. As a family we have never experienced this before, but what I saw was disgusting to say the least, no wonder the Mental Health in the UK is a complete mess, the help my sister got was nothing, after almost 2 weeks she was sent home and was even worse before she went in, she has now been sectioned under the Mental Health act Section 2 to yet another hospital. Let's hope now she will get the help she so desperately needs or I feel she will be YET another statistic of suicide. Get these places tided up and give the people with Mental Health Issue the dignity they deserve till they recover.
